Preparation to Get The Fire

So, we are believers, but that is not guarantee to have victorious Christian life.

Many people tried hard to get power, anointing, promises, blessings from God, however, in fact their life went down a mountain. Why? Because the lack of surrender and commitment.

How important is the time of preparation, and Jesus used that to make His people ready to receive the fire of Holy Spirit poured out for His Body.

Before Jesus died, His ministry was limited by space and time as a normal human being. However, when he rose from the death, he carried His ministry in the Spirit without limitation. In. Acts 1:3 we can read : “After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proof that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.”

Then, He gave them a command to not leaving Jerusalem until they received power from Holy Spirit and they would be His witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. These meant that there were some preparation to get tongues of fire, to burnt the earth in the Holy Spirit’s power and The Word of God. After He rose from the death, there were 50 days crusade before Pentecost took place. Holy Spirit poured out and the souls harvested for God’s Kingdom.

From 500 persons who heard His message about waiting Father’s promise in Jerusalem, then left 120 persons faithfully remained and finally got the promise.

God had preparation for The Body of Christ before the heavy rain poured out. He wanted to double the portion of our acceleration (how fast we heard the Lord, how fast we caught the anointing), our endurance (of anointing, patience, perseverance everyday), our power (how intensive and tremendous it poured)).

Actually God had prepared new wine but it needed new wineskins. Many persons had open mouth but their hearts closed. It was like a closed bottle.

So, forgiveness is the way to come to God’s grace and mercy. If we forgive, He forgives us too. And the way to come to the blessing is by having commitment and self-surrender. Jesus had redeemed us from devil, sins, illness, worldly powers, and we had to declare our rights in His name.

Red Sea was a picture of death for Israelites but God ordered them to face and to cross. Jerusalem was a traumatic place for the Disciples, but Jesus ordered them to wait there till they got the gift of the Father’s promise and they would be witness firstly in that place. And when they obeyed, Holy Spirit came and anointed them, and the great crusade the world had ever known happened.

This is the ministry of grace, ministry of deliverance, .ministry of reconciliation, to fulfill all humans’ needs. Peter and other Disciples stood by the power, in one baptism, one Word, one voice to declare The Kingdom of God.

The preparation to wait in Jerusalem would never be in vain.

Before the revival happened for other people, we’re firstly burnt by the power for we are the center of God’s planning. Nothing will happen outside before it happens inside. So we have to appreciate our spiritual values, our effort, our ministry, and so on before other people can appreciate as well. And 150 persons who waited in the Jerusalem upper room was the little number who did and received.

God has a several preparation for every of us, either through our daily walk or spiritual training gained by God. The time to prepare us to be ready for the tongue of fire that can make us become powerful witnesses from Jerusalem. Judea, Samaria, until the end of the earth.
